Monitoring with LCD Display!
LCDD collects
system information in real-time and displays the information on a
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). With Win9x and WinNT/2K/XP
versions you can have that super-computer look on any Windows based
computer. No need to actually turn a monitor on and run a
program. Just glance at the LCD on the computer!
Getting
an LCD
Obviously you'll need
an LCD to use the software. Fortunately the LCD we support is
one of the best on the market and very affordable. You'll need
to get the 20x4 serial LCD from CrystalFontz
(model
634). Currently it sells for as low as $45 right now.
Monitor
Critical Systems
LCDD displays information
about your operating system health and system health. Many
statistics are displayed such as CPU
usage, memory usage, total uptime, system load,
time/date... The driver has an easy-to-use graphical
interface to allow you to configure what is displayed on the
LCD. There is also a plug-in interface to allow you to extend
the display to show anything you want!
Service
Tracking (WinNT/2K/XP)
The Windows NT/2K/XP version
will even allow you to monitor system services. Just pick the
services you would like display the status of and the software will
display them on the LCD with their current status.
User
Customization Options
LCDD is very
user-definable. You get to pick the screens you want to have
displayed, the time they stay on-screen before moving to the next
screen, and even select system services of your choice in the server
version.

that and have dedicated new development on our own code base which
we found much more stable and functional. However, we still
